Earning a Master's Degree in Management

A Master of Management is a graduate-level degree program in business management. Many people choose a Master of Management degree program to become better at what they already do - manage other employees in a company. Others select a Master of Management in Human Resources Management or a Master of Management in Technology Management to become more specialized in their chosen fields or open up further job opportunities.

  • Dual: This type of degree program combines the Master of Management degree with another degree that a student may already be working on.
  • Internet: Online degree programs allow students to take classes and earn degrees over the Internet. For example, if you wanted to complete an online master degree programs in sports management, you could attend classes and complete coursework from the convenience of your home, as your own schedule allows.

  • Part-time: Students take night classes or weekend classes. Although the course takes longer to complete, it is usually much less stressful.

The Cost of a Master’s Degree in Management

The price of a master's degree in management can vary depending on what the program and school you choose. Generally, if the school is a well-known, accredited institution, a student may pay between $30,000 and $50,000.
 
Recent statistics show that a person who has a master’s degree in management makes around $10,000 more, per year, than people who possess only a bachelor’s degree. Although the cost of completing a degree is substantial, earning a master's degree in management is a long-term investment with high returns.
